Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Torq — the WhatsApp service and website that help you sense-check used-car listings. By messaging Torq on WhatsApp or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Who we are

Torq is operated by NetX Labs Ltd ("Torq", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11348776. You can contact us at info@gettorqing.com. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Who can use Torq

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Torq. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. What Torq is — and what it isn't

Torq gives you information drawn from live market listings and official data sources to help you judge a used-car listing — for example, where a price sits relative to the market, how a listing's price has moved, and official MOT records. Torq is an information tool, not advice.

• Torq does not provide financial, legal, mechanical, or professional advice.
• Torq does not inspect vehicles, verify their condition, or guarantee a vehicle's history, ownership, or roadworthiness.
• Torq is not a party to any sale. Any decision to buy, sell, or pay for a vehicle is entirely your own.

Always carry out your own checks — including an in-person inspection, a history check, and professional advice where appropriate — before committing to a purchase.

4. Accuracy of information

Torq's answers depend on third-party listing data and official sources (such as the DVLA and DVSA) that we don't control. Market data changes constantly and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. We provide our information "as is" and "as available", and we make no warranty that it is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You rely on it at your own risk.

5. Your account and fair use

• We identify your account by your WhatsApp number. You're responsible for activity that takes place through it.
• Torq offers a limited number of free checks; current limits are shown in-product and may change.
• We may apply rate limits, and we may suspend or restrict accounts that exceed fair use or breach these terms.

6. Acceptable use

When using Torq, you agree not to:

• use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• access it through automated means, scrape it, or attempt to extract our underlying data in bulk;
• resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Torq's output without our written permission;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• misuse the service to harass others or infringe anyone's rights.

7. WhatsApp

Torq is delivered over the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to Meta's own terms and policies, which are outside our control.

8. Intellectual property

Torq, its name, branding, website, and the way it presents market information belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own, non-commercial car-buying purposes. Everything not expressly granted is reserved.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for any decision you make, or any loss you suffer, based on Torq's information — including any overpayment, purchase, or sale;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity, or data;
• where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50.

Torq is offered to consumers for personal use; we don't exclude any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Torq at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where we need to for legal or operational reasons. We may also change or discontinue features, or the service as a whole, at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Torq after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
